How zoning can restrict, or even prevent, affordable housing

The PBS News Hour series, “Roads to Recovery,” looks at efforts to reform Connecticut’s land use laws, and the complicated mix of history, politics, and racial dynamics that affects who gets to live where. At odds are restrictive land-use laws that contribute to inequality and a lack of affordable housing versus local autonomy over what can be built and where.
