MTA Touts Success of Congestion Pricing as Clock Ticks on Possible Shutdown from Trump

The MTA reported over $51 million in revenue from congestion pricing in February, calling the toll a necessary lifeline for the transit agency. USDOT initially set a March 21 deadline for the MTA to end the toll but later extended it to April 20. The MTA, however, stated it will disregard the new deadline. USDOT Secretary Sean Duffy criticized the MTA during a visit to a sinkhole in New Jersey.
