Dividing Lines: Highways’ History of Displacement and Pollution

This video from the Southern Environmental Law Center discusses how Black and low-income communities have in the past been intentionally left out of land use decision-making and historically targeted for highway construction. While the video specifically looks at the nation’s south, the effects of this practice can be seen—and need to be addressed—throughout the U.S., including New Jersey.
