Walkability Theory

This video by Urbaburble explores what contributes to walkable environments and draws on the work of Michael Southworth, Professor Emeritus, UC Berkeley, as well as other urban theorists such as Kevin Lynch and Jan Gehl. The video explores six criteria to consider when thinking about walking places:

Connectivity ● Linkage ● Safety ● Quality of the path ● Variety of land uses near the path ● Path context
